The days leading up to Christmas were so crazy. Christmas Eve was really crazy. (read: frantically trying to decorate and bake everything, running out to Mass and then getting stranded at church for two hours after Mass) So now, I am very much enjoying the calm, relaxed atmosphere of Christmas break. As I write this I am sitting atop a few pillows on my floor, a homemade (not by me mind you!) wool blanket draped across my lap, with twinkly, dainty Christmas lights shining beside my head and a steaming cup of tea next to me. And I'm finally posting my pictures from Christmas! I'm afraid that lately I've been dreadful about taking pictures, so I don't have as many as I wish I did from Christmas morning and Christmas dinner. Anyhow, below are the ones that I did take. :)
It has become a tradition in our family to do a candle-light procession with the baby Jesus to put Him in His crib on Christmas eve. This year, it happened a lot later than usual because we got stuck at our church after Mass! My mom drove an elderly lady home and accidentally took the van keys with her. She also didn't have her phone with her, so we were waiting for a while, as we don't live close to our parish. Luckily, our church has an adoration chapel, so we did get to spend an hour or more with Christ on His birthday! (Or, the eve of His birthday)
Oh, I chopped off my hair!
Merry Christmas! Beautiful pictures!
